Bebe Rexha Is Finally Making Her Tomorrowland Debut—And David Guetta Helped Build the Perfect Set
Some moments in dance music just feel like they are long overdue.
For Bebe Rexha stepping onto the Tomorrowland stage is one of those moments. After years of singing on some of musics biggest songs she is finally getting her own moment at one of the worlds most famous festivals.. To be honest it feels like something that should have happened a long time ago.
The singer told her fans the news herself in a message from the heart saying she is very excited and also very scared.
“I’m so excited to announce that I will be performing at Tomorrowland… crazy! I’m still like holy sh*t, but I’m also f**king nervous, just because it’s one of my favorite festivals and I’ve been a part of so many incredible dance records. I have one of my close friends Mr. David Guetta help me curate the music, the setlist, which is exciting, but I’m also so excited to be able to sing the songs out to the crowd and I just know it’s going to be electric. Expect the unexpected and let’s f**king go, I’ll see you all there Belgium.” – Bebe Rexha”
This nervous excitement makes the announcement even better. Tomorrowland is not another festival it is the place for dance music. Even famous artists who have performed on the stages in the world still get nervous thinking about it.
Then there is David Guetta.
Having one of musics biggest names help with the setlist is a big deal. If anyone knows what works well in front of a Tomorrowland crowd it is him. He and Bebe Rexha have worked together before and have had some successes so it feels like they are just doing what they do best.
When you look at Bebe Rexhas history in dance music it is really impressive.
She helped make I'm Good (Blue) a hit all over the world with David Guetta. Before that she sang on In The Name Of Love with Martin Garrix, a song that still gets a reaction whenever it is played at festivals. She has also sung on other songs and written music for lots of other artists and it is easy to forget how often her voice is heard on dance floors around the world.
It is funny that she has been a part of Tomorrowland for years without performing on one of its stages.
That is changing now.
The timing could not be better either. Bebe Rexha and David Guetta have been performing together recently including some shows in Paris and their chemistry on stage is still really strong. Bringing that energy to Belgium feels like a next step even if it took a little longer than some fans expected.
So what can people expect from her performance?
Probably a lot of moments where everyone sings along. Big catchy songs. Familiar dance music anthems. Maybe a. Two if David Guetta is involved. She even told her fans to "expect the unexpected" which's exactly the kind of energy that Tomorrowland is all about.
One thing is, for sure though.
This will not feel like the time Bebe Rexha is performing at a big festival. It will feel like an artist who's finally where she belongs. Bebe Rexha is finally performing at Tomorrowland. It is going to be big.
